Organic black cardamom or Badi Elaichi, as called in India is another type of Elaichi, which is black in color and larger in size compared to Choti Elaichi. Nepal is the biggest producer of Badi Elaichi followed by India and Bhutan.
It helps keeping blood pressure in control, helps in digestion and help cure ulcers. It also have cancer fighting compounds.
It is less expensive compared to Green cardamom. Organic large cardamom is not used in sweet dishes because of its earthy aroma and flavor. But can be used in tea or can replace Choti Elaichi in many savory-spicy dishes.
