The castor plant is indigenous to tropical Africa and Asia. The organic castor oil is expressed from the seeds of plant Ricinus communis and has a distinct peculiar taste and odor. As it is highly viscous, it is an active ingredient of household cleaning agents, dyes, paints, polishes, lubricants and brake fluids. Natural Cold-Pressed organic castor oil is a good moisturizer and comparatively a cheaper option to other expensive almond or olive oils. People even use it for grain preservation by applying pure organic castor oil before storing them. Pure cold pressed castor oil has also been explored as a source for the production of biodiesel.
Healthy organic castor oil is used in cosmetics as a moisturizer and for hair conditioning for supposed anti-dandruff properties. Ricinoleic fatty acid promotes follicle growth. We all very well know its traditional use as a laxative. Healthy cold pressed castor oil also has antifungal properties and is used to treat some skin conditions and acne.
Natural and pure organic castor oil is used both internally as well as externally, but its highly viscous nature and peculiar odor make in unpalatable. If you want an easy way to ingest cold-pressed organic castor oil, add 1-2 tablespoons in wheat flour and make chapattis; you can easily have it without knowing it is there.
